Friends and supporters, you gave feedback and we listened! After several of you came to us with comments about how the "proof photos" we were using weren't doing it for you, we decided to fix the problem and do our first photoshoot! We got together with friend and up-and-comer, Robert Nakama of Robert Nakama Photography, whose work was recently featured in Fujifilm X Magazine (click on the upper right photo of Diamond Head on page 7), and headed out to Sand Island State Recreation Area.
It actually took us a few tries before we had a successful shoot, as it seemed Mother Nature thought it best to darken the skies and rain on our heads everytime we scheduled a time and date. We even baked some Chocolate Chip & Walnut Muffins for one of the scheduled shoots that we cancelled due to weather -- which was still okay because delicious muffins were still had by all.
We finally took a chance, ventured out on a rainy day, and were rewarded for our boldness with sun, mugginess and some great shots of Mfn Tops, (purchased) blueberry muffins, and each other. We'll keep updating our website and Facebook page with images from the photoshoot, but one of our accidental favorites can be seen below. What do you think?
